The Patch Test
Sometimes it’s best to try a patch test before applying anything to a large area of your skin.
To do this, simply apply the CBD topical cream, CBD balm, or topical CBD to a small section of your skin. Allow it to soak in for a little bit. Make sure you have no negative reaction of any kind. If irritation develops, you should discontinue use immediately and possibly consult your dermatologist.
In most cases, however, topical CBD is so gentle on the skin. Because of this, very few people experience a reaction to it. It has a solely positive effect on the skin and helps people feel better.
How should you use it after you’ve tried a patch test and made sure your skin will interact well?
Rub the CBD balm into your hands, elbows, heels, and even your lips. Our topical CBD products are gentle and non toxic.
Allow the CBD ointment to absorb thoroughly into the skin.
Reapply as needed and as much as you’d like. Discontinue using topical CBD if any sort of irritation occurs.
Keep out of reach of children.
The main physiological function of the cutaneous Endocannabinoid System (ECS) is to consistently impact the proper and well balanced proliferation, differentiation, and survival of immune competence and or tolerance of skin cells.

What Is CBD Balm?
To clarify, CBD is similar to the more common cannabinoid, THC.
The main difference is that CBD is not psycho active. This means it doesn’t cause the “high” that may be of concern for some.
CBD Balm is for topical use. The manufacturer initially extracts the CBD using CO2, which is a clean method of extraction. There are no solvents or residuals left in the final product.
CBD is essentially a solidified medley of nourishing oils. It is less messy than an oil form of CBD and also less liquid than a lotion or cream. A CBD balm should not spill or leak. It is a mess free and convenient way to bring your CBD with you wherever you go.
Simply rub your fingers into the small tin of CBD balm and then apply it wherever your skin needs it most! Apply it to problem areas like sore muscles or joints. You can treat it as a massage oil too.
Manufacturers infuse a cream or lotion with CBD. Usually the CBD topical cream has a base of coconut or olive oil.
These oils provide a base for the CBD and also help to enhance the effects of it. From there, manufacturers tend to blend the oil with other therapeutic essential oils or herbs.
Ingredients like arnica or lemongrass are popular additions. Both of these are common pain relievers.
What are essential oils? And what are they good for? Essentially (no pun intended), essential oils are the pure and highly concentrated extract of a plant. In other words, these oils are the plant’s very essence.
Using a highly concentrated extract of the plant packs a powerful punch. Whatever therapeutic or soothing benefits the plant may offer in large quantities is magnified in a small and potent amount.
For example, the essential oil of a lavender plant is very soothing. It has a pleasant and fragrant aroma and helps people to relax and feel at ease. Lavender is also good for fighting inflammation and bacteria. That’s what makes it one of the most popular essential oils out there.
Why Use CBD on the Skin?
Many people know about the positive benefits of CBD. And many people know that there is a variety of ways a person can take CBD.
But the most popular ways to take CBD are usually to ingest it, vape it, or take a CBD tincture orally. In other words, internal use is the most common way that people take CBD.
So why apply CBD to the skin? What does external use do for you? Can it really make any difference if you’re not consuming it?
We think so! Many people swear by using CBD on their skin. It seems to work wonders for a wide variety of conditions. Sure, you’re not swallowing or consuming CBD into your body. But CBD can still work on a cellular level as it absorbs into your skin.
By applying CBD to your body externally, you’re providing your skin and even muscles with the same tender loving care that you provide the rest of your body when you ingest CBD in another way. Topical products can provide a more tangible and visible difference in some cases.
As you allow the healing power of CBD to work on your skin, you are likely to be thrilled with the results. Apply our barrier CBD balm to your skin in winter or summer and see what it does for you.
How Does It Work?
For example, a CBD balm can help to noticeably hydrate and replenish the skin. Adding that extra barrier layer of protection can also help prevent chapping, dryness, cracking, and more. It may also help to fight off infection, bacteria, dirtiness, irritation, and more.
Providing your skin with a healthy extra layer of protection is a very good idea. You should also make sure it’s something that will offer benefits to your skin’s health when you apply it.
In addition, CBD topical cream can be a good addition or even replacement to a person’s existing skin care regimen. Many drug store products are full of questionable chemicals and additives. CBD balm, on the other hand, is a more natural and gentle alternative.
CBD also has some anti inflammatory properties. This may help to soothe angry skin conditions like acne and painful rashes. By helping to balance, restore, and nourish the skin, a topical CBD product may make all the difference. It also works to clean, purify, and protect the skin from foreign bodies in the environment.
Those who are aging may enjoy the fact that CBD can help replenish some of the skin’s elasticity and radiance! Smoothing out wrinkles and brightening the skin — what could be better?
